Town Clerk's Office
The Town Clerk’s Office is the public relations center of the town’s municipal government. Questions on all aspects of the community can be directed here. The Office of the Town Clerk is located on the first floor of the Town Hall, located at 85 East Main Street.

The Town Clerk, Karen C. Bodine and the deputies, Renee McConnell, Roxann Ammerman, and Kimberly Heuer, are available to help you Monday through Friday, from  8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

  • Recording Secretary 
    Author of the official minutes, which are retained permanently for legal and historic purposes. The official minutes are the record of actions of the town board
  • Town Board Minutes & Agendas
  • Filing Officer 
    Duties include maintaining the records of adopted local laws, oaths of office, resignations, petitions, annual budgets, assessment rolls, fiscal reports, notices of lien, court actions, bond and note registers, and the official zoning maps
  • Licensing Officer 
    Issues licenses and permits for hunting and fishing, marriage, dog, handicap parking, games of chance, peddler / solicitor, and Boughton Park
    • Note: Recycling Center permits are issued at the Highway / Recycle Office only
  • Tax Collection 
    The town clerk is also the tax receiver
  • Cash Control Officer 
    Responsible for the collection and disbursement of funds to state, county, and local fiscal officers
