Town of Victor Parks & Recreation Update - 03/22/2021

Victor Residents:

As you know many changes have been necessary to ensure the safety of our residents and employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. To comply with State guidelines the Town Board halted all Parks & Recreation programming for 2020. As the restrictions begin to relax due to the decline in virus cases, we have now asked the Director of Parks & Recreation to focus on OUTDOOR based programming and special events for the remainder of 2021. We will NOT be resuming the traditional Summer Recreation program due to location constraints and safety protocols. Historically, we have utilized both classrooms and outdoor space up at Victor Central School. In order to comply with State guidelines and keep our youngest residents safe, all summer recreational programming will be conducted utilizing our local parks.

As we work through all of this we ask for your patience and encourage you to check out the full list of programming that will be in the next electronic Town Newsletter and available around the end of April. The link to the Town website: https://www.victorny.org/266/Victor-Voice-Newsletter. Here is a sample of what will be coming: Gymnastics class, Junior Golf League, Kinder Nature Camp, Beginner Pickle Ball and more!

In addition, we are excited that new State capacity restrictions for outdoor events have been relaxed. This will allow our summer concert series to resume! It is the towns intent to maximize our outdoor facilities for both your continued enjoyment and most importantly the safety of all users.
