About the Village
Welcome to the Village of Victor Government
Whether you are a village resident, a visitor, or someone simply seeking information on our community, we are pleased you have chosen to visit our website. Let us take a moment to acquaint you with the Village of Victor.
The Village is a six-mile square piece of land in the heart of the town. We were incorporated as a village in 1879, and as of the 2020 Census had a population of 2,744. Located among rolling glacial hills in northwest Ontario County, three miles south of NYS Thruway Exit 45, and midway (20 minutes either direction) between Rochester and Canandaigua Lake and the Finger Lakes Region, we are ideally located for a modest commute to work or ideal summer and winter recreation destinations.
A strong sense of community exists within the Village of Victor, as is evidenced by the work and activities of our various governmental boards and agencies. Although these groups provide direction and leadership, their policies are implemented on a day-to-day basis by a cadre of highly skilled and dedicated employees in our Village Office and Department of Public Works.
We hope you will return and continue to use this website as a source of community information. Should you have suggestions or comments, email us or stop in for an old-fashioned personal visit.
