[ARCHIVED] Village Advertisement for Bids - 10 West Main St, Asbestos Abatement

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that sealed proposals, for the following Contract, are sought and requested for the Village of Victor, 10 West Main Street - Asbestos Abatement and Demolition.

Bidders encouraged contact the Village of Victor Code Enforcement Officer, Sean McAdoo, to schedule a site visit, prior to submission of their bid. He may be contacted at 585-742-5034.

The sealed proposals will be received by the Village Clerk, Village of Victor, 60 East Main Street, Victor, NY 14564 until 11:00 a.m. (Local Time) on the 12th day of September, 2013, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations:

Upon payment of $50.00 for each set. Checks for Contract Documents shall be made out to the Village of Victor.

The Village of Victor’s regular office hours are: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Each bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified check, or a bid bond in an amount not less than 5% of the bid in the form, and subject to the conditions set forth in the Contract Documents and Instructions to Bidders.

Upon acceptance of the bid, if the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract pursuant to the requirements of said agency, then the sum deposited as aforesaid shall be forfeited to the Village of Victor as liquidated damages, or the payment of the bond enforced for the benefit of the Owner.

BIDDERS ON THIS WORK WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH THE PRESIDENT'S EXECUTIVE ORDER NO.S 11,246 AND 11,375 WHICH PROHIBIT DISCRIMINATION IN EMPLOYMENT REGARDING RACE, CREED, COLOR, SEX, OR NATIONAL ORIGIN.

The successful bidder must be an equal opportunity employer, must meet all appropriate State and Federal standards, and comply with all relevant governmental regulations.

No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date set forth for the opening thereof and may not withdraw it at any time prior to the opening of bids, except in accordance with the "Instruction To Bidders" Document 00200.

The successful bidder must furnish 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond, and shall comply with the requirements of Chapter 617 of the Laws of New York State for 1974 as specified under Item 50.01 of the Standard General Conditions. The Village of Victor is exempt under Section 1116 of the Tax Law, and, therefore, no sales tax shall be included in the bid.

No bids shall be accepted from, or any contract awarded to any person or corporation who is in arrears to the Village of Victor upon any debt of contract, or is a defaulter as surety or otherwise upon any obligation to the Village.

The Village of Victor also reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any and all bids.
