NOTICE OF 2013 ANNUAL ELECTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the undersigned that the 2013 Annual Election of Officers in the Fishers Fire District, comprising portions of the Town of Victor, Ontario County, New York, will be held on the 10th day of December, 2013 to elect one (1) Fire Commissioner for a term of five (5) years, such term is to commence on January 1, 2014 and one (1) Fire Commissioner for the balance of a term which consists two (2) years commencing on January 1, 2014 The Fire District Commissioners at the time of his/her election, must be a resident elector in the Fishers Fire District and during the term of his/her office.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that such election will be held at Fishers Fire House No. 2 located at 380 High Street in the Town of Victor, New York on the 10th day of December, 2013, from 5:00 o'clock p.m. until 9:00 o'clock p.m., prevailing time, during which time, the polls will remain open for the receipt of ballots. Each elector in the Town of Victor who shall have resided in the Fishers Fire District for a period of thirty (30) days next preceding December 10th, 2013, is qualified to vote at such election.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that any candidate for the office of Fire Commissioner who desires to have his/her name appear on the official ballot for such office shall file his/her name with the Secretary by filing a Petition subscribed by twenty-five (25) qualified voters of the Fire District, at least twenty (20) days prior to December 10, 2013 to wit: on or before November 20, 2013. Blank Petitions may be obtained at Fishers Fire House No. 2 located at 380 High Street, Victor, New York commencing November 4, 2013 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. prevailing time.
