ALERT!!

A concerned citizen brought to the attention of the Victor Assessment Department, a solicitation that is being mailed from a California based company to property owners. This solicitation states to property owners the importance of having “…a copy of your current grant deed and property assessment profile.” The solicitation tells how you can receive this information using their company and the outrageous price they will charge. Don’t’ Do It!!

It appears to this office, all the information that will be contained within this California company’s report can be obtained locally at the County of Ontario office Building at 20 Ontario Street, Canandaigua and/or the Town of Victor Town Hall at 85 East Main Street, Victor, for a minimal charge.

The Town of Victor charges $0.25 per copy. The County Clerk’s Office: for a copy of a deed, charges $0.65 per page. If you need the deed copy certified, the cost is $5.00 for up to a four page document and then $1.25 for every page over four.

Beware. Be conscious.
