NOTICE OF JOINT MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARING - VICTOR TOWN BOARD AND VICTOR VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Town Board of the Town of Victor, New York will meet at the Victor Town Hall, 85 East Main Street, Victor, NY, in the Town of Victor, New York on the 25th of June, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. prevailing time for the purpose of conducting a joint meeting and public hearing with the Board of Trustees of the Village of Victor, New York upon a proposal to create a joint fire district to be known as the Victor Fire District to include the territory described below, at which time and place said Town Board will jointly consider such proposal with the Board of Trustees of the Village of Victor and hear all persons interested in the same.
Upon the establishment of the joint fire district, the joint fire district will become the sponsor of a service award program pursuant to Section Two Hundred Sixteen-b of the General Municipal Law, and the estimated annual cost of the service award program to the joint fire district is Thirty One Thousand dollars ($31,000.00); and upon the establishment of the joint fire district, the joint fire district would become the sponsor of a service award program pursuant to Section Two Hundred Sixteen-b of the General Municipal Law, the resolutions establishing the district shall be submitted to permissive referendum in the Town and Village in the manner provided by Article Seven of the Town Law or Article Nine of the Village Law, respectively.
This Notice is also made for compliance with the provisions of Public Officers Law Section 104.
The description of the boundaries of the proposed Victor Joint Fire District is the whole of the Village of Victor and the area of the Town of Victor currently in the Victor Fire Protection District of the Town of Victor, a map of the current Victor Fire Protection District is available in the Town Clerk’s office or online at: http://www.victorny.org/DocumentCenter/View/1173/00-M-01-Town-of-Victor-Fire-Districts-Map and the description of the objects and purposes for which it is proposed that a new district is created is to provide fire protection and emergency services by a fire district as provided by law.
The Victor Town Hall has barrier-free access for the physically handicapped, and any such handicapped person seeking transportation to said Public Hearing may contact the Victor Town Clerk during regular business hours.
