Will you be a Victor/Farmington Food Cupboard Valentine?
The Victor/Farmington Food Cupboard is hosting a community wide contest to collect cans of heart-y soup by Valentine’s Day and we’re looking for teams to partner with us in this fun winter food drive.
If the government shutdown persists, food insecure families will need our assistance more than ever starting March 1st. In order to prepare, we are seeking business, church, neighborhood, civic group and family teams to assist by collecting soups that could help sustain senior citizens, families and children. We especially appreciate soups that include some protein and can be opened without a can opener (those pop tab cans are ideal!).
- Collection officially begins on Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service (Jan. 21)
- Collection officially ends with a drop off/weigh in any time after 1 pm on Valentine’s Day (February 14th) at the Food Cupboard.
- Teams should register by messaging our FB page, calling the Food Cupboard (585-924-2720) or e-mailing: firstname.lastname@example.org with a team captain name/contact and the name of your team.
Awards will be given for: team spirit, innovative strategy for the drive, number of cans collected in total, weight of donation divided by the number of team members, biggest team participating.
